I certainly did not realise that today was kidney bean day.

Breakfast

Sautéed white kidney beans with onions, seasoned with salt and pepper.

Lunch

Growing up my parents would sometimes make a bitter gourd dish wherein they would add tausi to it. I did not like it. As a grown up, I still have no idea if I would like that same dish. What I do know though is that beans go along with bitter gourd, which is why I decided to use red kidney beans as a meat replacement for the dish below. I like how colorful the final product is. It tasted great too.
